Minecraft Bingo

Everyone gets the same card of in-game challenges. First to finish a line wins. Or flip on Lockout and fight over every square. Here’s how Minecraft Bingo works, and how to play it online, free, in under a minute on MCManhunt.

What is Minecraft Bingo?

Minecraft Bingo is a multiplayer race to complete real in-game tasks laid out on a shared bingo card, challenges like “Eat a Golden Apple”, “Craft a Diamond Block”, or “Die to a Bee”. Every player drops into a fresh survival world with the same randomized card, and the first player or team to finish a fullrow, column, or diagonal of tasks wins. Completions are detected automatically by the server the moment you qualify, no claiming, screenshotting, or honor system.

Unlike Manhunt, nobody is hunting you. The pressure comes from the clock and from watching your opponents’ completions tick across the card in real time. Playing it normally means finding a plugin and hosting a server; MCManhunt runs Bingo as a public matchmade mode instead, generating the card, tracking every task, and scoring the game for you. Just join and play.

Classic Bingo vs Lockout

Bingo runs in two very different flavors, and the host picks before the match:

  • Classic. Every player (or team) marks tasks on their own copy of the card, so several players can complete the same task independently. Win with any full line, or switch the win condition to Full Board and complete every tile.
  • Lockout. Every tile can only be claimed once, by the first player or team to complete it, and each claim is worth a point. Reach amajority of the board (13 of 25 on the default card) and the game ends immediately. Suddenly denying your opponents the easy squares matters as much as finishing your own.

How a Bingo card works on MCManhunt

  • Card sizes. The default card is 5×5 (25 tasks); hosts can pick anything from 3×3 up to 7×7. Tasks are drawn from a pool of over 300 challenges, with category limits so every card feels varied.
  • The card screen. Your card is a clickable on-screen dialog. Open it from the “Bingo Card” item in your hotbar or with /bingocard. Your completions get a green check; in Lockout, opponents’ claims show a colored X.
  • Preview window. Every match starts with a short card preview (30 seconds by default) where the whole lobby is frozen, studying the same board, before anyone can move.
  • The timer. Games run on a 30-minute countdown by default. If it expires with no winner, most tiles (or most Lockout points) wins.
  • Host settings. Teams of up to four colors, elytra drop-ins, starter kits, PvP, keep inventory and more, all configured from the party settings menu.

How to join a Bingo game

  1. Open Minecraft Java Edition 1.21+ and go to Multiplayer → Add Server.
  2. Enter mcmanhunt.com as the server address and join.
  3. Pick Bingo from the game menu in the lobby and queue, solo or with a party.

play.mcmanhunt.com also works, and eu.mcmanhunt.com /na.mcmanhunt.com connect you directly to the regional servers for the lowest ping. It’s free, no whitelist, no application. Bedrock Edition is not supported yet.

Yes, Bingo on MCManhunt is completely free. Add mcmanhunt.com on Java Edition 1.21+ and queue; there’s no whitelist and no application. Optional ranks and cosmetics support the server, but you never need them to play.
What is the difference between classic Bingo and Lockout?
In classic Bingo every player marks tasks on their own copy of the card and you win with a full row, column, or diagonal. In Lockout each tile can only be claimed once (by the first player or team to complete it) and you win by claiming a majority of the board (13 of 25 on the default 5×5 card).
Do I need a datapack or mod to play Bingo?
No. The card, task detection, and scoring all run server-side on MCManhunt, no datapacks, no mods, no world setup. Join on a vanilla Minecraft Java client and queue.
Can I play Bingo with friends or in teams?
Yes, everyone joins mcmanhunt.com, then one person runs /party invite <username> and queues the party into the same game. The host can enable up to four teams (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow), and teammates pool their completions on a shared card.
What Minecraft version do I need?
Minecraft Java Edition 1.21 or newer (newer clients are supported via ViaVersion). Bedrock Edition is not supported yet. Support is planned.
